I mean the YoutubeDownloader can't record the YouTube vertical short clips, I get an error. What you showed on the preview aren't the short YT clips, called "shorts". They're showed below the normal YT material of the page.
Oh I see - you're right! Thanks for the clear re-stating of what I did, it helped me figure out what you can do - try this:
- right click the Short YT video, and Copy Video URL
- open a new Tab and past the URL into the Address bar, which goes to the full-size YT video version
- then the YTdownloader button seems to work

How do I use this? I keep getting sent to some social media site called Vevioz and can't actually do my download.

The date on my device is correct.

@download-lagu-mp3 Since me or you can't seem to solve the issue right away on my Opera browser pse tell me in which browser(s) it would eventually still work. I have many like AVG, Google chrome, Vivaldi, Cent Browser, Pale Moo.n

@jimbop: I'm not sure what caused you to experience the problem whereas in my browser it doesn't have the problem you mentioned above, try clearing your browser cache or, it should solve your problem.

Anyway this extension hasn't worked for me since my last complaint about it, although it always worked for me before. I didn't either get a response on my demand if it worked on other browsers aside from Opera. And in the meantime I wonder if it would work on the so-called "shorts" on YT, which BTW I also mentioned a while ago. -

@jimbop if I may, I use it still today and it works on "Shorts" as well - there is a message to 'open it on youtube and press the button' so I just change the word "Shorts" to "watch?v=" and it works like a normal youtube video. For example:
Here is the video as a short that I want to save
https://i.imgur.com/VSQ9gVu.jpegSo I just change the word "shorts" in the title to "watch?v=" and take out the "/" then hit Enter
https://i.imgur.com/JTqbJKZ.jpegThen I hit the Youtube Downloader button in the top of Opera and it takes me to website that has the video sitting there, just choose format you want to save video in. This is what I see as the website

You explained very well, thanks for the trick you shared, or you can easily download a short YouTube video by replacing the YouTube ID with any video on YouTube, including the YouTube short ID.

Replace [Youtube ID] with YouTube ID Short then press enter, and the download button will be available immediately.
I will try to make YouTube short downloadable directly with this YouTube downloader addon in a future update.
