How to stop auto update on Android?

Does anyone know how to stop Opera on Android from auto updating?

I am running Opera 72.5.3767.69342 on Android 11 and want to stop Opera from auto updating, or even prompting me to do so.

I am willing to block dns lookups for certain domain names, or blocking connections to certain IP addresses, but I can't figure out what to block.

Auto update in the play store is already turned off, but Opera keeps sneaking off and updating itself with no apparent way of stopping it.

No, I've tried it and it didn't work so you can't stop it

@sirabipina Thanks. I've given up on Opera and am evaluating a kiosk-style browser which seems better suited to my needs.
