Suggestion: A single setting to disable all auto video playback for all websites.

I've looked through the forums and it appears this doesn't exist and people are using extensions to get this feature.

Lots of browsers have this, it helps when you're wanting to open some videos to view later without having to have them auto play and go through each one to stop it.
I know there is a way to disable audio, but this still means the video plays and it's a waste of resources.

@shakyca None of the main ones have such feature, except for Firefox, maybe.

Not sure but it probably would need to be something introduced by Chromium anyway,

@leocg I'm not really sure what the point is?
Are you saying because most of the others don't have it, Opera has no reason to innovate and so my suggestion isn't worth it?
Brave and Firefox both have it.

@shakyca I was just opposing the info that Lots of browsers have this. I would like to have such option, but since Chromium kinda gave up on adding it a while ago and most used browsers still don't have an option for it, then probably there isn't much demand or it's not exactly easy to implement.

Try starting Opera with the command:

               --disable-features=PreloadMediaEngagementData, --disable-features=MediaEngagementBypassAutoplayPolicies
