@leocg I am using Google Authenticator. Unfortunately, I don't remember which authentication app I used to enable 2fa. But I think it's a google app.

@al-d You need to use the same app, otherwise the codes will not work.

Did you try using the backup codes?

@leocg I have a 12 digit backup code and I need 8 digits. This code doesn't work. My authentication code was saved on my computer at home, in Ukraine. And now I'm trying to log into my opera account from a laptop from the Czech Republic. Now I'm trying to install other authentication applications and try to log in through them. Didn't know the problem could be due to another authentication app.

@al-d Then something is wrong. Your backup codes, the ones provided by Opera when you enabled 2FA, should have worked.

@leocg Why 12 characters, not 8? This is probably not the recovery backup code provided by Opera. I don't have another one.

@al-d No idea. I checked here and Opera account page generates backup codes with 8 characters.

@al-d You can install any app, it (probably) won't work because you don't have access to your account and, therefore, can't add it to the apps.

@leocg probably nothing can be done now. When I set up two-factor authentication, I never thought that because of it I would lose access to my account ... Thank you for your answers and for your help.

I had the same problem today on my PC. Luckily, I was logged in into Opera on my phone, so I could deactivate the 2FA (strangely, the 2FA Codes worked on mobile) and reset 2FA then via Desktop. Phew!

@jvariance I got them working by trying and retrying, while others worked right now. That's strange. For me, the Android version was the hardest, though, while on my laptop logging in was flawlesse.
But I'm happy right now, that I've already four devices logged in.
