      Today when I opened up the latest version of Opera, I was unable to locate any of my bookmarks and favorites. All vanished and I am unable to find a way to retrieve them.
      I wish Opera had given us advance notice so that I could have saved what I have built up over the years.
      I hope someone out there can provide some assistance with this.
      Also....Opera fails to import any bookmarks. After 2 hours of waiting for the imports I had to cancel.

        @greenmanharper This won't help, but I feel your pain. Because I had issues, I scrubbed my computer of anything Opera. Files, folders, registry. Installed the new version. Set it up. Would not import my settings from Firefox. I opened up FF and.............it was scrubbed clean of anything mine. In fact, it opened up to the new user screen. I am mad beyond belief.

        I have been using Opera for quarter century, when one had to pay to remove ads. And, after all that, my new installation has the same problem as the old one, telling me pages aren't secure, within a couple of hours.

        At least it still works fine on my laptop.

          Actually, your reply does help ease the pain a bit as I know I am not the only one dealing with this and also thinking I might have done something wrong to make it happen.
          Someone/team at Opera sure dropped the ball on this new version and much as I love Opera (in the past anyway), really reluctant to use it once more as who knows when it might do the same thing or worse.
          And I am sad to hear about your woes....ain't pretty nor fun. Aside from that, have a great New Year.
