Clicking the install button was working fine for me where Opera fetched the installer and tried to launch it. But, after messing around with it for a while, the button stopped working even through restarts of Opera etc. Opening the console with ctrl + shift + j shows an "API not available" message.
I tried looking in various Opera profile files for a fix, but couldn't find one. But, I eventually got the button working again by wiping out my whole Opera profile. If it happens to me again, I'm going to try going to
opera://settings/siteData
, typingopera.com
in the search cookies field, and clicking "remove all show" to see if that helps the button work again. But, for you, chances are the msi installer file for vpn pro downloaded successfully. In Windows Explorer, look in "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\temp" and launch the MSI installer from there if it's there.

@deema Hi, we've discovered an issue with VPN Pro on earlier versions of Opera. Please update to the newest version, v89.0.4447.83 (you can check your version and upgrade it by going to opera://about in your browser). You should then be able to continue with VPN Pro without problems.
We are currently working on notifications about updating the browser for users with older versions. Thanks for your purchase and we hope you enjoy VPN Pro!

Activate the Built-In VPN in Opera
- On the left panel of the Opera setting's page, you will see “Privacy & Security. Click on that to access and activate the Opera browser VPN.
- Scroll down to the “VPN” section.
- Once it has been activated you will see a blue VPN badge on the left side of the address bar.
