Google Search in Opera: Only one word per line

On my desktop computer with Kubuntu 12.04, full hd monitor works Google search in Opera OK, but on my netbook with Kubuntu 13.04 and even 13.10, display 1078x600 shows in Google search only one word per line, see this snapshot (Firefox works OK):

Lots of help on this. Since I'm having the same problem with Opera 12.16 on my Desktop running SimplyMEPIS Linux 11.0.15 (at 1920x1080) I'd like a fix also. ATM I'm using Firefox for searches as Opera is useless.

Fit to width enabled? Sometimes it can have strange results ...

I have the same problem, especially on a Google search page. It started sometime in Ubuntu 12.04 and continued into 13.10. I use Chrome most of the time now and only open up Opera so I can use the Note feature. When and if Opera drops Notes I'll switch completely.

I don't think anyone really reads responses to a thread, apart from the starting/original post.

Try disabling 'Fit to Width', found in 'O Menu / Page / Fit to Width'.
