Sync is paused after closing Opera

After closing the android Opera browser on my Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy Tab S8, syncing is paused after I open it again. Syncing resumes successfully on both devices after I log back into Opera, but continually pauses again after closing it. This is with a newly installed version of Opera on both devices (I uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the Play Store). Is logging out of Opera (when closing it) a new security feature, or a bug? I don't remember this occurring a couple of months ago. My latest Opera configurations for both devices don't clear anything when it closes.

@drache77 it's got to be something with an update. I've never had to log in every time I used it. I've lost so much, thinking I'm logged in, only to realize that I am logged out every time I close it.

@jadidpoit maybe it's the Android 12 update, there is an annoying feature that kills web pages you leave them and auto refresh when you go back to the web page again, this happens even if you alternate between open taps
