Searching causes decrease in brightness

Typing into the searchbar on an empty tab (the speed dial) causes the entire browser window to lower its brighntess. It stays as long as you focus on that searchbar; clicking on a other button, swapping tab or entering the search turns things back to normal. However, this only seems to happen while using a custom background image for the speed dial, as changing it to one of the default wallpapers fixed the problem. I really prefer to use a custom image so please fix this! It is not about the windows brightness nor the one of the screen by the way as it's only getting darker in the opera gx window.
In case this is intended (even though I don't see a reason for it), please add a toggle to turn this off if you haven't already.
