Opera unstable?

Version:82.0.4227.23 running on a desktop with Windows 7 Pro 64bit with 16m/b of memory installed. For a few weeks now (and maybe two or three Opera versions) I have been finding it a bit "flaky". Usually starts up OK but once its up and running it sometimes doesn't seem keen to open more than one or two tabs. The little indicator just keeps spinning and doesn't open the next tab. On two occasions it just froze up and I had to get CCleaner to force it to close down. It was been getting worse and recently it has been reluctant to even start up. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling downloaded from the Opera site. Is anyone else having this problem recently? I have read the instructions on things to do before posting a question but it is tricky during a freezeup situation. I have no problems with both Firefox or Chrome.

@tech-halfwit said in Opera unstable?:
I have tried uninstalling
Did you also choose to delete your data when uninstalling to wipe out all your settings an everything? If not and the problem is with your Opera profile (your data), uninstalling and reinstalling alone won't help.
You can just test with a new profile by making a standalone installation to a folder named "Opera Test" on your desktop. If things work fine there, it problem is something messed up with your profile.
Do you use Opera Sync?

I thankyou for your response to my post. I will try your suggestion.
I chose to keep my settings, etc. when I uninstalled. When I did each new installation my settings were automatically installed.
I don't use Opera Sync. I don't really know what it is.
Thanks again. -
