[Solved]gmail offline after Opera update

Whenever Opera is updated my gmail account shows as offline. Settings and support buttons are greyed out and search in emails shows "you're offline results may be limited".
This has been happening for several months using Opera Stable on Windows. In the last two or three weeks my Opera Developer on Linux has started doing it too.
I have a work around. Show cookies in use from the pulldown off the padlock. Select mail.google.com and click the Delete button. Reload the web page.

@pete_forman Delete cookies of every google app and then also clear browsing cookies. It will fix the issue.

@steventillson02 Thanks, that has fixed it. My first attempt must have missed some cookies being set again. For my second I closed all tabs except Settings and that worked. I needed to wait for stable releases and there was no weekly update in late July.

I spoke too soon. After nearly a day of use gmail has now judged me offline in Opera Stable on Windows. Developer on Linux is still okay.

@pete_forman gmail went offline with Opera Developer on Linux again. To restore it this time I just used ctrl+F5 to reload without cache rather than deleting the cookies for gmail.google.com. I can live with that.
