I tried in both Opera 11.64 and Opera 18, and couldn't get the page to cause a crash.

I don't think it's memory even though I have plenty, because Task Manager doesn't show excessive RAM usage. It's less in Opera 18 than currently in Opera 11.64 which has been open all day.

Tab-grouping may not come back, but you can group speed dials now.

Thank you for a fast response.
Funny thing is that i followed your link (about grouping) and got a crash while i was scrolling the page xD
        I'm totally confused now.
The reason why i'm thinking of memory shortage is that i've been getting "Not enough free memory" message on my desktop (Win 7 x64, 4gb RAM) while i have Opera 18 and Photoshop simultaneously running. But with Opera 12 + Photoshop everything was ok, even when there was a lot of tabs opened.

4 GB is not enough for Opera 18 (based on Chromium) (many have suffer this problems, that posted on Opera blog, forum), when each tab uses about 50-60 MB or more, plus addon/extension has separate process too.

            O tempora! O mores!
But on my laptop i have 2gb RAM and only 3 tabs opened: this page, transmission web-gui and one of subject pages and still have been getting crashes.

That is a ridiculous remark. It might be true if you usually open 50 or 100 tabs, but most users open 20 tabs or fewer, which will be no problem with 2 Gbytes of RAM.

There seems to be something wrong with your system. I can only suggest the usual things. Update plugins for Flash, etc., Run Malwarebyte, scan for viruses, reinstall Opera in a new folder (I use the USB install to keep things tidy).

Flash is updated to latest version, no other extentions are installed.
I have Kaspersky Internet Security with latest bases and system is 100% clear.
This was a "semi-fresh" installation of Opera. I had had Opera 12 and Opera 15 installed on this laptop, but uninstalled them completely before Opera 18 installation.

Could you search!? Please search before posting!
Try Google keyword: "4 gb ram chromium"

                  Shion:
Presto was able to open like 100 picture tabs and take less than 1Gb of RAM. ChrOpera takes 4Gb with only 30.

                  Dark Magician:
But still is too much. I have only 4GB of RAM, and Opera is killing me with usage. Cant handle even ten tabs, and four extensions. I get almost out of RAM…

                  guest6768:
Same here. I ve tried Opera 15 on my laptop with 2GB RAM and with 10 tabs I got the message about how I needed to close programs or otherwise it would crash. Uninstalled it instantly.

                  pasegros:
I have experienced low-level messages of memory from my PC(4 GB RAM) when I use quite Opera, especially when I watch embed videos of several sites. It seems leak of memory because with another browsers this doesn’t happen.

Some things never change. Trolls still make ridiculous off-topic comments in any random thread just because they don't like the latest version of Opera.

The OP is getting crashes with just 3 tabs. So stop your trolling, and try to help the OP resolve the reported issue, which probably has nothing to do with having “only” 2 Gbytes — which should be adequate to run Opera with 20 tabs.

Trolling!? Funny! Ok, I don't like to attack other, or feed the troll that tried to shift the discussion, that can not prove what he threw out by calling other trolling!

                      IF you can read.
The post above of mine, to respond your WILDLY claims (who is trolling here, who posted the misleading infos here).
I did NOT quote the the post of Angrymouse to respond, so stop your blah blah.

                      Don't be a jerk.

If Angrymouse said O12, and Chrome run fine with the site but Opera 18. So this is problem with the software. Stop TROLLING, spread misleading problem like hardware, virus, blah blah. That does not help at all.

May be problem is Flash (until Angrymouse comment about that), but Opera Blink based on Chromium, not Chrome. Opera Blink may be called "forked" of Chromium, "another version" of Chromium. Like Opera 12.0 and Opera 12.1, there are differences. So, now we can't conclude that third party plugins are problem.

If they are getting memory errors maybe it's the paging file.

For Win7 and Vista: Click on Start - Control Panel - System - Advanced System Settings - Then the Advanced tab and then the Settings button in the Performance box. Then again the Advanced tab and in the Virtual memory box then click on the Change button.

Uncheck if checked Automatically manage paging file for all drives.

If you want to keep it set but customize it yourself click on the little circle by Custom size then set both Initial and Maximum to the same size.

This is the formula I use:

                              (1024 x (amount of memory on system)) x 1.5 - so I have 4GB of memory
                              1024 x 4 = 4096
                              4096 x 1.5 = 6144 So I set the Initial and Maximum to 6144.

I've stated before that the pagefile is disabled.
