Tab switching using Ctrl + Number

When you switch tabs using ctrl + number of that website, in every single browser, it's pretty trivial. The first tab can be switched to using ctrl + 1 and so on.

In opera gx, ctrl + 1 opens the gx corner and all tabs you open are shifted to the right. Any way to disable gx corner? Or just have the tabs lined up properly? This is a real bummer.
