@Hartford You may use Spotify Player in a Tab from any Workspace for the time being. Create a workspace, name it Media for example, and keep there opened websites or players of all sorts. You can use two windows layout - left one as broad main browser and the right (second) narrow for media center. Sidebar Player's Spotify is functionally limited.
Just for a proof.

Thank you for the itunes but could we also have spotify on the side bar as well. It will be a good relaxer for some of us.

@ruler2006 The OP didn't say nothing about the request is being for GX and didn't post in the GX section...
As far as I know, the (music) player is not there for GX yet. You can enable it in opera://flags but it isn't working yet.

@tasha1241 Then it's either a bug or the service is not available for you. Here Spotify is listed as an option.

I'm very glad with this new Music Player. It's a potentially incredible feature. However, I'm subscribed to Deezer, and not Spotify ! I'm sure I'm not alone in my case, thus I think it would be very nice to add a Deezer option : it would benefit many people !Kindest regards,

I just noticed the new Music Player and loved it. Unfortunately I don´t use any of those three services, but I rather use Deezer. Could this be added?

There exists a lot of different music streaming seervices, i know. But it would be nice to integrate less known services like TIDAL, SoundCloud, Pandora and so forth to include everyone.

I see the popular apps YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music, but I'm fairly new to the Opera world, and I use Amazon Music myself to save some money. I think this would be a fantastic addition to this browsers feature!

caliberplex last edited by@tk421 That's what I was thinking when I first got this browser! The ability to play music through music provider services is so good, but I have a subscription for Amazon Music rather than the other three providers supported.
Dealing with ads from Youtube Music (and probably the other two as well) and setting up all of my music preferences and playlists on an entirely different platform just seems like too much of a hassle.

Prior to 2021, Spotify was not available in my region, SSA. It was not until the service launched in my region that I thought to check Spotfiy in the sidebar player list.
While Youtube Music & Apple Music has been great for me, I find that I listen to a lot of podcasts on Spotfiy and would like to do that from the sidebar, rather than launch the app or load from the browser.
Can someone kindly point out how to get this listed or is this app blocked for my region, by Opera as well?
