Clicking on notifications does nothing

I allowed whatsapp, twitter, and some other websites to send notifications, but when i click on them nothing happens - I expected it to take me to the website (the whatsapp website, the tweet etc.).
Reinstalling Opera / trying on a different desktop does not help either.
Using Version 72.0.3815.400 on Windows 10

@simonfruehauf my feel is the notifications are superficial at best. You can't see the history of the notifications, such as when you didn't have time to read it. Clicking on it does nothing so it just dissappears and you have no idea what the heck is going on with it.
In other words, just turn it off. (also remove any sites that have allowed notifications so you aren't bothered by them)
what is the fix? well, a notification history would be the thing, and it should open a relevant page when clicked on. but it doesn't... at least in a history listing you could read it and then navigate to the page manually
