Sidebar - total mishmash

Whole Sidebar from top to bottom is a mishmash of different "switches".
Part of them opens narrow pop-side windows which you can switch-off clicking the same icon again.
The other part opens new tabs and you are not able to switch them off typically for the Sidebar as I am expecting, but I have to use any method to close a Tab.
It is inconsistent solution. It should be corrected. It needs to be corrected.
