Security Issue: Installing extensions on chrome and can't detect removed

If the malware extension is removed in Chrome, opera cannot detect it. On October 18, the extension "Nano Adblock & Nano Defender" collected all cookies from Instagram and hacked 100K accounts.
Btw how to disable auto extension update?

If you remove them from Chrome, that has nothing to do with Opera. Are you saying they were blacklisted/removed from the Chrome webstore and Opera didn't detect and remove them when it checked for updates?

Opera has its own "blacklist" of extension IDs. It also contains the IDs of some CWS extensions. I agree that in the case of "Nano Adblock & Nano Defender" it is necessary to blacklist these IDs in Opera, then these already installed extensions will no longer work in Opera. I know about this case. Ugly.

Opera's working on adding the extensions to its blacklist. Sit tight.

@burnout426 Thank you, I got it. Until recently, it was possible to see a "blacklist" of extension IDs for the Opera at: https://extension-updates.opera.com/static/omaha/blacklist.txt
There is no such possibility now. -

You're seeing the IDs of the Nano Adblocker and Nano Defender extensions in Secure Preferences showing them as blacklisted then?

Testing with a fresh profile at least and clicking "update" (with developer mode on) in
opera://extensions
, I now see those IDs with blacklisted set to true. -

@burnout426 Now yes. I now see those IDs with blacklisted set to true. Apparently there was an update schedule.

@johnd78 But only on a clean profile. As far as I remember, there is a prescribed period for updating the "black list" of extensions for the existing profile.
