Hello. It's great to see that GX is flourishing once again with constant updates. However, there was a new feature that went unmentioned in the changelogs but was actually useful. I didn't save any screenshots of it, but it basically worked like this:

Whenever I clip an image with the Windows 10 Snipping tool, for example, when I open the built-in WhatsApp and try to attach a photo to a chat, a black GX box would pop-up immediately and show me a thumbnail of the last image I clipped with the snipping tool, allowing me to paste it immediately without having to deal with the file browser. There was of course another button present to switch back to the file explorer, so this feature was there mostly to save time.

Another application of this feature was with files downloaded with the Opera GX. So, again, when I go to the built-in WhatsApp and try to attach a document, this black box would pop up, suggesting me the last file I downloaded with the browser so I can easily attach it to my message with just one click, without having to deal with possibly multiple file explorer windows.

I really liked this feature and I would love for it to return and get refined. If anyone is curious about it, I believe you can download the 71.0.3770.138 version from get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera_gx/ and give it a go.

      Thank you.

@Unbeknownst Enable opera://flags/#easy-files and you should have it back.

@leocg It worked. Thanks a lot! I wish the Opera team would be more transparent about features like this, i.e. telling us that they disabled the flag by default but we can always change it back.

But hey, I'm really grateful we're getting innovative and experimental new features like this from Opera. The new player function on the V73 also looks really neat, looking forward to it!
