Is there any way to access the old recently closed menu (in the top right by minimise)

as per title, not a fan at all of the replacement.
Origional was much faster and smaller and supported closed windows. -

@leocg All I can find is a lot of responses from you basically saying, "lern 2 serch!". And this is another one of those. However, the Search function on these forums is such that it really doesn't help as much as you'd like to think it does, if for no reason than it has no concept of linear time and leads to a poorly-sorted list of posts that haven't been relevant in years. I had to go to Google to get any sort of way to search these forums by date range. And in almost every single one, "lern 2 serch!".
If you truly are as sick of saying the same stuff over and over and over and over again as it appears that you are, then maybe a stickied post near the top of the thread would be more helpful than taking your frustration out on anyone who asks why the devs "fixed" what wasn't broken then responded to backlash with an unworkable kludge instead of a simple rollback.

@Jerv One of the main ideas of having a public open forum is that both questions and answers, problems and solutions can be accessible to anyone and don't need to be repeated several times.
If you go to to advanced search, you can limit your search to a certain time period.
By the way, the topic I've linked is the answer for your question. The current implementation of tabs search with the show more button is the response for the request.

@leocg That's why I recommended a stickied comment. The fact that some feel that the "Show more..." flag was an acceptable compromise despite adding another click a two-click operation into a three-click operation when everyone is wanting it to revert to a one-click operation does make me wonder if there is a disagreement on what "accessible" really means.
In that case, the sorting isn't working correctly. Not that the UI is exactly good on it. Or in other places; some of the checkboxes act weird. Another reason I wonder if there is a disagreement on what "accessible" really means, as well as whether some folks have odd concepts of UI design.
As for that link, it was from months ago for older versions. And while other threads show the failed attempt at placation (the "Show more..." flag), they seem to still be avoiding the real issue.
I understand that you're just a moderator and not in charge of design decisions, but the most helpful response I've seen on this issue boils down to "it's gone, suck it up!". And that was in response to a request for a feature change!
Can you understand how no part of this forum experience has been helpful or productive for anyone?
