Typing on opera oddly laggy

Hello fellow opera users, I have been a loyal patron to opera for about 2 years now and have greatly enjoyed the features. However, recently when I type in text boxes, I will experience lag.
By lag I mean that occasionally text will stop appearing on the screen, and a few seconds - 1 minute later all the keys I pressed would suddenly appear. I have already disabled all my ad blockers/ trackers and restarted my computer. Any other tips?

@CarlyRaeJepsenStan You ever find a fix or cause of this? I am having same issue past few weeks-ish.

Opera Version: 68.0.3618.165
System: Mac OS X 10.14.6 64-bit

@antriver Switch to OperaGx ,its basically the same ,even better actually and you can cross all your settings and extensions over from normal opera ,and got rid of typing lag for me.
