[Solved] Cannot change to Qwant as default search engine

I have installed the Qwant for Opera extension, but all that achieves is that Qwant shows up on the search engine part of Opera Setup under a separate heading of "Search engines added by extensions"

How can I actually make Qwant my default search engine?

@halvor-raknes You can't. Only the pre-defined search engine can be set as default.

@halvor-raknes Opera has few/some/a lot of "holes" in functionality. Why do you not want to be a little lazy using pinned tab with opened Qwant page? I use Startpage systematically this way, selecting DuckDuckGo as default.

By the way. If Opera Team wanted to open sidebar to "whatever pages you want" like Vivaldi did, your and other Opera users life'd be more efficient and pleasurable.
