Whatsapp shows up at startup

Hello!
I have downloaded the latest version. It includes whatsapp, which is fine.
However, Whatsapp shows up and takes 1/3 of the window at startup time.
Is there a way to show whatsapp only when I need it?
If not, is there a way to remove whatsapp forever?

how we can opt out ? that is security breach for me, wtf ???? i dont want integration with browser such things!!!!! if i want it i will download extension, and i didnt, wtf is wrong with you developers ? over 10 years of use and it looks that you start to dont give s..t about your users

Right click on sidebar gives an opportunity to disable unwanted content/ messengers visible there.
