Please add a share extension to send links from Safari to Opera Mini. Perhaps even show a menu with multiple actions such as "Open in Opera Mini", "Add to Bookmarks", "Send to device", etc.

You've posted in the wrong forum, you should suggest it in Safari's one. 🙂

Share extensions need to be provided by the "destination" app. Opera Mini in this case, since I want to open a tab in Opera Mini from Safari. They are detected automatically from the installed apps and show up in Safari, and other apps.

I really don't think something like that will happen but there's always a chance that I may be proved wrong.

It's in Opera's interest to make it easier to use their 3rd party browser. Most apps open in Safari and there is no easy way to send the tab to Opera and continue from there. Firefox does the same thing to either send a tab to Firefox or to another device. All iOS apps work like this - they have to provide their own Safari extension.

                  Firstly, Sorry.

                  Then:

                  I think something it's messed or I don't understand:

MacOS to iOS? Use Opera on Mac and OSync.

Most apps open in Safari and there is no easy way to send the tab to Opera and continue from there. Firefox does the same thing to either send a tab to Firefox or to another device. All iOS apps work like this - they have to provide their own Safari extension.

Those Apps has it's own browser?
Do you mean it's not possible to do Opera the default MacOS browser? (to open all links in Opera)"*"

Firefox does the same thing to either send a tab to Firefox

Firefox has it's own extension for "Send from Safari to FireFox" or "for send from FireFox to FireFox "Mobile"?

If you have Opera for Mac, using Sync, your Bookmarks, SpeedDial and Open tabs are synced between them.

If Opera has not port Opera Presto features... don't think they will create a Safari extension for "Send to Mini"... It would already be done.

"*" If Opera (or any other) can not be configured as a Default browser, then they should create a Safari extension to send from "Safari to Opera Mini / Coast / Android / Mobile" ...

On second thought, maybe it would be fine an extension 'full equipped' for any browser. 😉

In my case I used / use Opera on each device I had / have.

If you don't want or can not use Opera for Mac but use Opera Mini, try with Delicious or something like this to share your bookmarks / read later sites to read on the go until they think about your suggestion.

The title clearly says Opera Mini for iOS.

But, do you mean Send from Safari MacOS (desktop) to Mini? Or Send from Safari iOS (Mobile) to Mini?

I am only talking about iPhone.

                          Mini in iPhone,
                          yes, so:

But, do you mean Send from Safari MacOS (desktop) to Mini iPhone? Or Send from Safari iOS (Mobile) to Mini iPhone?

Edit: Ok, now I see that Safari for iOS can use extensions.
                          With iOS 7 didn't possible.

As I have seen, it's since iOS 8 so if now it's iOS 10... It should already be done.

                          Edit 2:
With this new knowledge: I was wrong.

Maybe this post (if still works) > “Open In” Bookmarklets for Safari > Open in Chrome

                            • some tweaks "Opera name" may do the job.

I need to "share" a URL that is currently open in Safari, to Opera Mini. They way iOS works is, Opera Mini has to provide a "share extension" that shows up in Safari, so that within Safari I can choose Share to Opera Mini.

It does when I want to use Opera Mini as my primary browser. Apps open links in Safari, but I'd like to continue browsing further only in Opera Mini. I could just copy and paste the URL, but thats just an annoyance when Opera Mini could be much easier to use on a daily basis if it could be shared links from Safari or if links could be shared from Safari to another Opera device. Both of these require that Opera Mini provide the extension, due to the iOS model.

It would be easier if you could open links in whatever browser/app you want, don't you think?

Opera Mini needs to provide a share extension for that too, to open links directly from other apps. Whether it's to open in Opera Mini directly from another app or from Safari, Opera Mini needs to register a share extension so that it shows up menu.

Despite the request, this workaround may work until Opera employees read and decide if implement or not the extension.

I don't want to change the default browser. I only want to open specific links in Opera Mini when I want to continue browsing in Opera Mini instead of Safari.
