Suddenly I click on link and nothing happens

I have been using Opera for a week or so as my default browser. Suddenly (I haven't changed anything in setting) I click on links in Yahoo search and nothing happens....what on earth is going on? I have had to go back to Chrome.

You can do a test. Download the Opera installer, launch it, click "options", set "install path" to a folder named "Opera Test", set "install for" to "standalone installation", make sure "import data from default browser" is unchecked and install. Test in that Opera but do not install any extensions and do not enable Opera Sync.
Does it still mess up there?
