Downloading from Mega creates a copy of the file in filesystem.

Two years ago I came across this MEGA FAQ article when I was interested in online storage providers:
Are there any file size limits on MEGA?
We do not impose any artificial limitations on file size other than your available Cloud Drive space. While all current browsers are capable of uploading large files, downloading is size-constrained by Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari due to their lack of support for HTML5 streaming file writing. Google Chrome and Opera can handle large files, but they require plenty of free disk space on your system boot volume.
We recommend for you to use MEGAsync to download large files.I don't know if this statement is still valid today (this article was last updated in August 2016), or if other online storage providers also utilize HTML5 streaming for their download feature, or if this situation is MEGA-specific.
So I provide here four large files, for download from another cloud provider than MEGA, to check,
- whether in these cases Opera GX also creates these twin files
- how other web browsers behave.
No password is required for the download. The files have no file extension, no usable content and were created with FileTool. If I no longer see any download activity, I will delete them at some point.

@yanta None of the files created a twin using Opera Gx. Tested another MEGA download of 1GB and it created a twin in the same path

So is that the situation?
- If you download my 1 GB test file with Opera GX, Opera Desktop and Chrome from my online storage provider, none of these browsers will create a twin file.
- If you download my 1 GB test file with Opera GX, Opera Desktop and Chrome from MEGA, only Opera GX will store this twin file

@yanta TBH only tried with Opera GX. Downloaded all your files none created a twin, then donwloaded 1GB from MEGA and it created a twin
So I think the problem is related with MEGA and Opera GX?

If the twin is created exclusively in this combination, but not using Opera Desktop or Chrome, this would also be my conclusion (provided that the behavior of Opera GX is not affected by an add-on in this respect).

@k4tto Did a little research and it seems that Mega uses the File System API, so I guess everything is working as should.

I'm just going to put my two cents here... My thought is that the issue with GX as it's not clearing the temporary file (the twin file) once it is transferred to your Downloads folder.
