How to reset sync "passphrase"

I don't recall setting Sync passphrase. Somehow my sync stopped working (all of a sudden; it has been working for over 6 months now) so I signed in again. This time it says in my Opera that my data is protected by a sync passphrase. So I "reset sync". However, when this is done, where do I go to actually reset my own sync passphrase? There's no such link in the reset sync page. Welcome any pointers, thanks.

@nearlynormal Did you change your Opera password? What about your OS password? Did you reinstall your OS?
To change passphrase: Menu > Logged as ... > Click on the top right cogwheel
