Changing Search Engines and Desktop Mode

I like the look & feel of the the browser, but there are two things keeping me from switching to it:

1. I can't change the default search engine. I don't like using Google Search, and want the option to use something else.
2. There are certain websites that I prefer opening in desktop mode because they either don't look right in mobile mode, or because ad-block doesn't work properly on them (e.g. YouTube).

Is Opera planning on adding these features, or am I better off sticking to the "full" Opera Android?

for 2), the browser is supposed to be used with one hand, I can't see using a webpage on desktop mode practical with one-hand

That should enable you to change the primary browser.

Also, would love to see the option to change search engines. I don't like being forced to use Google. Give me freedom to choose.
