Blurry text in Opera 49 on Fall Creators Update

Ever since updating to the Fall Creators Update the text in the address/tab bar or the main webpage area randomly blurs until I either focus on it or mouse over it. The attached picture shows the address/tab bar being blurred. It even happened again to the whole screen area while typing this post (see picture 2). This problem seems to be isolated to Opera. My current version of Opera is 49.0.2725.27 (beta stream).

Please check the DPI scaling of your Windows 10 in Settings | System | Display and set it back to 100%.

Tried doing that but the problem persists. Also, setting the DPI to 100% makes everything on the screen way too tiny and slightly fuzzy to begin with. The recommended DPI for my laptop is 125% and that is how it's always been set.

Also, wouldn't a wrong DPI setting cause the text to be permanently blurry rather than intermittently? The text just suddenly turns blurry out of nowhere and then unblurs once I move my mouse towards it (even if I don't click on it)

Sorry, I thought it might be the DPI setting, because my screen looked the same (blurry) when DPI scale was set to 125 per cent (I use a 1920 x 1080 screen too). If this is not the reason, it might be the graphical driver? I read that Nvidea suffered from problems after W10 1709 upgrade?! I use Intel graphics 620 and Opera looks like it did before the upgrade (nevertheless 1709 is a troublemaker in another place for me).

Thanks for your reply, but unfortunately it seems I already have the latest Intel graphics drivers for my system.

I tried Opera 50 (developer) and I have the same problem there.

I've also tried every option for "Override high DPI scaling behavior" under the compatibility options to no avail.

This problem seems to be isolated to Opera. Edge functions just fine, as do any other programs I've been using.

I've still not managed to resolve this issue. Here's what I've tried so far to resolve the problem:

Changing the DPI scaling in Windows. 125% is the recommended setting and looks the best. Setting it to 100% makes everything too tiny and does not resolve the random blurring of the fonts.
Updating my graphics driver (was already up to date)
Reverting my graphics driver to an older version
Enabled battery saver in order to disable the Windows 10 acrylic blur effect in case that was somehow causing the issue
Tried all the high DPI scaling options under the compatibility settings
Installed Opera stable with a new user profile - same problem
Installed Opera developer with a new user profile - same problem
Changed various settings under opera:flags
-- Disabled "Windows 7 Aero skin"
-- Enabled "Override software rendering list"
-- Disabled "LCD text antialiasing"
-- Disabled "FontCache scaling"

This is really starting to make Opera a nuisance to use. I'd like to reiterate that this issue seems to be completely isolated to Opera. Other browsers (Edge, Vivaldi and Chrome) work just fine as do other non-browser programs I'm using.
