Opera will not save passwords

How do I get Opera to save a few passwords? I went to Preferences > Privacy & Security > Passwords and checked "Offer to save passwords...", but it will not save any. What else is necessary to allow password saving to happen?

Hi @concretable, when you say "it will not save any", do you mean you don't get the bar on top that offers you to save a password after filling it in, or you do get it and click save but afterwards the password doesn't appear when logging in again?

It is working. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place. SeaMonkey is my regular browser, and it pops up a dialog box over the window when offering to save a password. Thanks for giving me the hint.
