[Solved]VPN Switch for Opera v45.0.2552.888

In settings, there is a box to check to switch on VPN. Why is this when there is no need? This post is for testing purposes and I've left the VPN box in settings unchecked. So, after then opening the browser, the combined address bar shows the VPN switch, where you switch VPN on/off. In my view, if VPN in settings is checked, why wont it auto-start VPN when you open the browser? Either way, thanks to Opera for continuing browser success.

At least here, If the VPN is not enabled, the VPN address bar icon doesn't appears and if the VPN is ON when you exit Opera and starts again the VPN starts working again too.

Zalex108 - This problem now solved with your assistance thank you. I usually start Opera in private window. Whilst on here I opened Settings from Menu at top left. Went to Privacy and checked VPN. I closed the other window, then closed settings window. Started up another private window which as you correctly say, auto-started VPN. Hope my experience helps other Opera users. Thanks again my friend.

Should work also enabling it from a normal window.

Yes it does my friend. All now in order with this. You're a star. The great thing about Opera browser is when it blocks insecure content, even on a 'safe' site. I've had some companies look into their security because while another browser may say all is well etc, it's only Opera that will prevent some content being opened when it detects dubious content (on other sites), and alerts the user to it. It's magic and a joy to use.
