      Chromium dropped it.

Then Opera should provide something in the graphical interface to allow people to see a list of the plugins, with version information at the very least. Hiding them does not make much sense. Just adding something in the View menu to Show Plugins as well as Show Extensions which is in there now would be fine.

There's a section in settings page for Flash.

And Flash is the only external plug-in supported by Chromium.

I am not talking about settings. What is wrong with showing information? As long as there is any plugin at all, there should be some way to get simple information about it without having to hack it.

Why keeping a page just to show Flash information?

Why not? It is a plugin. Actually, why could the information about the version not be displayed in the preference setting? Instead of just saying "Flash", why not "Flash 25.0.0.171"?

It would be a waste of code.

For maybe 99% of the users such information is kinda unnecessary, not to mention that it can be fetched in other places.

What waste of code? It was there, then it was removed. In what other places can one get the full version number of PPAPI Flash other than by opening up the app package and reading a file in there? Where can you get that information in the Opera interface?

Because it was no longer necessary.

On Windows you can get it on Control Panel, don't know about other OS. You can also go to this page and check what version of Flash is installed.

Anyway, for those who do a standard installation of Flash it shouldn't be that important because they probably will be running the latest version.

You are right about Mac's version of Control Panel (System Preferences). That info is there. Thanks for that.
