Then the best bet would probably just wait a bit and hopefully the problem will be fixed soon.

I just signed up to say I'm having this exact problem as of updating to 44.0.2510.1218 (PGO) stable last night.
I'm using a desktop, And all day facebook has been locking up while scrolling up & down pages.

Exactly the same problem. If I try scrolling on a page that hasn't finished loading then scrolling stops working. If I go to any other page then it works again. BTW it stopped working on this page.

It seems this has been fixed
What is your Opera version?
It's now on 44.0.2510.1449 (PGO).

I spoke too soon the problem is still there. I don't have this problem on firefox (and it scrolls considerably faster than opera does) or on chrome so this is definitely an opera issue. I've tried updating flash, java, And all manner of settings tweaks but the problem persists.
