Opera 43: Constant google auth popup
-

Every 10-15 minutes there's a popup with some google authentication stuff. it closes down after 1-2 seconds. It does however minimize everything else(or go in top of f.e. games/movies), which is super annoying.
I'm on Ubuntu 16.04 - Opere 43.0.2442.806.
Any pointers?

Thanks.
Your solution didn't work unfortunately.
Recent change was reinstalling from Linux Mint 18 to Ubuntu 16.04. I guess that's where it started.

No extensions?
+1
The fresh install question was about Opera.

Some other software is running then - an email checker or similar. Opera itself doesn't do that. It doesn't even know I have a Google account (though as I also own an Android tablet I do have an account) and has never asked me for one. Or a tab is open to some page using Google services perhaps.
