Opera Browser For Android Opens Opera When The Home Button Is Swiped Up

I have the newest Opera installed on my Amazon Fire HD 7 tablet, each time I swipe up on the home button, Opera launches...if I accidentally swipe up the Home button while Opera is open, a new tab is opened.
Has anyone else here have this issue, either on a Fire Tablet or their phone. I had a very long chat with Amazon tech, they say when Opera is not installed, nothing happens...but when it is, the same thing happens on their tablet.
Therefore, he says this is not a Kindle Fire issue, but rather an Opera issue.
Help...thanks

Do you have google now installed?, Otherwise that hotkey is used by opera. I recall this setting on custom roms when i disabled google app.

My "Android" device is a Amazon Kindle Fire HD, and it does not have Google Now installed. What I want to do is disable that hot key (Swipe Up Home Button) that Opera uses.

I called Amazon and the rep tried a Fire HD there that did not have Opera installed, swiping the home button did nothing without Opera installed. Fire HD7 uses Amazon's proprietary System, but it is basically is Android.
