@alexcaspian et al
just accept the fact that opera does not want to waste bandwidth, serverpower and energy on your downloads.
now shut up or go away and take your download tasks with you.

Good update. But I still keep the Opera mini 7.5 alongside. I love the feel of old Opera mini. The new look since v8 still isn't as smooth as earlier versions were.

Thanks for the new option to sort saved pages alphabetically.
But if you have much saved pages, it also would be very helpful if you could create folders, like you can do in "bookmarks".In mainmenu it would be easier to have a switcher to turn images on/off and in submenu the option to set the image quality.
And why isn't there any option in "high mode" to turn off images?
This option would allow a lot of data saving. -

Any word on being able to choose black pages with light or custom text color instead of the default white pages with black text? This is the biggest thing I have wanted changed in Opera Mini forever. I have a phone with an AMOLED screen and would benefit greatly from black pages with light text.I have seen many others over the years with the same request. In Opera Mobile you can do it using opera:config and editing the css. I know that isn't an option for mini but there must be a way. If there are no plans to add such an option, could ANYONE tell me a reliable way to accomplish this. I have used and loved Opera Mini since the beginning and it is always my default browser. I have used the Night Mode "filter" but that isn't the same nor does it provide the same benefits as a black page/background and white/ light text. Any good news on this request or a workaround would be eternally appreciated. I'd happily test a beta with this feature as I'm sure MANY other's would. Apart from my feature request, I love the browser and appreciate all the hard work that has been put into it in development, over the years. keep up the good work.

Please bring back the previous refresh button.
Also I preferred to have just one address bar and not a distinct search bar.About the video players : are there 2 different ones? I noticed one where you can fast forward and rewind and another with brightness and volume controls. I think fast forward is an important feature!
I just downloaded opera mini 2 days ago and I love it! Keep up the good work!

Ok, so you're signed in to Facebook within Opera Mini and you accepted the notifications, but they never come? Is that the case?

Tested v18.0.2254.106121 - still the same issues as reported earlier, plus some new issues
previous issue - if there are two drop-down menu's on a webpage in which the second displays an array based on the first, the page does not refresh after the first drop-down is chosen (as it did in versions before v.18), thus the second has no array to display - this is with data savings turned on (turning Data Savings off results in extremely long page loading on sim-card / Edge standard, 45 sec - over a minute, or, like any other browser).
However, now there are several new problems:
-
websites are just not accessible by sim card, i.e. weak connection unless Data Savings is turned on (just displays 'Unable to connect')
-
Turning Data Savings off, now nullifies 'Single Column View', yet the Single Column View box is checked (again, resulting in full page loading and the very long page load times mentioned above).
Testing conditions:
- all versions of Android (4.4, 5.1, 6.0.1)
- Opera AdBlock turned on and off
Hope this feedback helps,
Mike -
