@leocg - Thanks but I tried that.See above about CSV's. It didn't work, from the FF csv or the chromium csv.
And I just discovered that Opera also lost all my folder structure for my bookmarks as well as the Descriptions.
I am not going to sit and edit hundreds of bookmarks to add in descriptions and move them to folders. Firefox and Chromium both had zero problems with this.
Note I also DID try to import all my settings, bookmarks and PW's when I installed Opera.
@leocg I had run an anti-virus and cleaned some other problems too but i also discovered the cause of the problem. Which is not related to the browser or at least not directly. It was a website that i am using that was having pop up ad system which normally always blocked by Opera but seems they either changed something or my Opera got lazy so it started to show itself. Added it to the adblock list as an extra measure which now closes the pop up easily. Though why it didn't before i do not know. Anyway thank you for helping me.
Again? They did something to their site last week and everyone was complaining for several hours but they (Facebook) fixed it - and apparently now it's back.
Already checked with extensions disabled and with a clean profile directory?
Yes! I restored Opera Gx to the default about three times, at first it downloads a file once and then it doesn't download again, only when restarting, but when I restart it only downloads once and then it doesn't download again.
The only extensions I have are from Opera itself like "Adblock, Discord, Instagram"
