You can disable that Home page which can track history and cache at any startup but thats a hoax (no consent on front side is required) because smart page run in background being 'ready'. Why I would want to use a proxy so smart that can track anyway cache+history like default browser? Or how come a anorexic thin client become so fat?

I love Mini but I HATE the home tab! Still want quick start page... I don't want my wife to automatically see what I've been looking at when she opens the browser.
There is an option Menu/Settings/Advanced/Home page - setting it to Off disables the Home tab, leaving just speed dials. To get some more privacy you can also clear browsing history manually. Is it what you want?

How can I upgrate opera mini 5.1 on my Nokia 2700c
Download latest v of opera mini browser from m.opera.com and install on sd card rather than on-board memory - useful tip if om is preinstalled on your device.
Most likely a WAP access point needs a gateway or ip in some cases which will send at least two extra headers with opera mini and of course wap profile with build-in browser. I think that proxy 10.0.0.10 and port 9401 or 8080 must be set and mark that access point as default for all apps. Contact your operator and you can find any help you can get OTA.
