uBlock, me too. Works just fine. Like it better than the others I've tried.

RE: Home ButtonOpera for Windows
To have to use an extension to add a home button, what an stupid aproach, no wonder why opera got some little users.
Nothing stupid about it. Not sure if many people really need a "home button.

What's the new shortcut?
Or it's all tablet mania already? -
RE: Opera 27 speed dialOpera for Windows
What happened to the new speed dial page, to which I'd just accustomed and had nicely organised? Now it's disappeared and my speed dial icons no longer fit on one screen and I have to scroll down. V annoying.
MiloAny answers to this, please?

RE: problem logging in to www.thefreedictionary.comOpera for Windows
Thank you, lando242, I hadn't thought of that, but it's does the same thing with uBlock turned off .
I forgot to mention: with other browsers it just logs me in without going to my profile page. And stays logged in. -
problem logging in to www.thefreedictionary.comOpera for Windows
Hello. A few days ago thefreedictionary.com changed it's design and since then I have not been able to properly log in to my account. When logging in I am directed to my profile page and browsing to thefreedictionary.com homepage or any other freedict page logs me out.
Nothing of that happens in SRWare Iron, another Chromium browser - no problems with it.Any ideas, please?

Problem with great new bookmarks viewOpera for Windows
Hi, all!
I'm really glad Opera 25 features a bookmarks view, but need to mention that my "imported bookmarks" appear without any kind of order - alphabetical, or folders first, etc.
Is there any way to tidy things up, as these are the bookmarks I use most? -
RE: Run Opera 12 and Opera 18 simultaneouslyOpera for Windows
Thanks.
I have already had them installed for quite some time on my system drive (and the standalone Opera Mail too) so as to try and gradually switch to the new state of affairs . But I keep losing my history in Opera 18. I don't use any cleaners that may cause the problem, so I thought maybe the two Opera versions clash in some way.
I do have the mail problem you mention, as my Opera 12 mail client is still the default one (problems with sending from the standalone OM too).
A somewhat off-topic question: v. 19 and 20 - are these "Next" versions?
Thanks again. -
Run Opera 12 and Opera 18 simultaneouslyOpera for Windows
Should there be a problem to have both these versions installed and run them simultaneously?

600 tabs, elrice?!
Seriously, nobody's bound to cut their bread with a chainsaw just because you're a lumberjack . -
RE: Why would you destroy Opera?Opera for Windows
103, 13, this is getting a bit stupid.
And it was supposed to be simple: the "Next" thing lacks key features Opera had. To the extent that I'll certainly be switching to another browser. If it's good enough for you (and I believe it is), then you don't use it the way I do. And that's that.Besides, how come all you have to say is how crappy Opera was? Nothing to say about the "Next" thing, eh?

Opera ASA might be alive, but Opera software (as 'we' love it) has been destroyed. They might "rebuilt" it somehow, but given the current progress (next to none) on three version numbers, it will take way longer than Opera 35.Well, you know... the longer I live the more I recognize that there are always two sides to an issue (and sometimes more). You can speak for yourself and perhaps for a few dozen others who have complained vociferously for the past few months by using the pronoun WE but that's all you can legitimately do. You do not speak for me nor for others here who appear to believe otherwise. I don't believe that Opera has been destroyed. On the contrary, I think Opera is finally coming alive after being stuck in the same groove for nineteen years. I suppose it's a matter of perspectives.
Well you lost me here. Surelly people who liked Opera those 18 - 19 years did so for a reason.
And the reason was not that in 2013 it would "come alive" .
Opera was cutomizable, had more features and options than the rest, had a built in mail client and more than one way to do things. On top of everything else you'd expect from a top browser.
Those "few dozens" who liked Opera until now? Now you're talking like the Chrome fanatics. Way to go
Naturally there's more than one side to an issue and you really shouldn't expect someone else would speak for you (least of all those with a different opinion), nor should you live to an old age to realize it.
As for perspectives, mine inevitably is that of an Opera user. Not a shareholder. -

Why would you destroy Opera? ...
Because Opera has been taken over by secret agents from Microsoft, Mozilla, and Google who are bent on a nefarious conspiracy to drive their competition out of business? Because Opera personnel have a hidden psychological compulsion to destroy their own jobs and the source of their income? Because some key folks at Opera sat down in a board meeting and said, "Hey, it's cold outside today... let's wreck the company!" No? Then they are not trying to "destroy Opera". But absurd questions deserve absurd anwsers.
You may disagree with Opera's strategic decisions or their implementations (with some of them, I indeed do), but please focus on specifics of those and get shed of the absurd sarcasm... it serves little purpose in the ongoing dialogues.
OK then. I'm being quite tragic-comic. And emotional, yes. Having been a fierce Opera fan for quite some time now. I guess we'll have to wait and see, huh?

RE: Why would you destroy Opera?Opera for Windows
Obviously I can't be original, because obviously I'm not the first one who's shocked by "Next". Otherwise, I'd be happy to read about what "is going on".
Thing is, it's been more than ten years that I haven't had the need to read developer boards. And I've never had a doubt about which browser I like best. -
Why would you destroy Opera?Opera for Windows
Opera Next is plain, featureless and ugly.
If I wanted Chrome, why would I use Opera in first place?!!
