The islands disappear after a few days/week of creation. I use Opera One everyday and like to create islands to group my tabs. After few days /
a week, the islands disappear and the tabs are ungrouped again. Every few days, I have to create the same islands again and group my tabs. Please help and fix this issue.

Opera One Save sessions (for open tabs and workspaces)Suggestions and feature requests
I would like Opera One to be able to save open tabs (in the same order) and with respect to the "Workspaces" they are in. This feature was available long back in Opera (non chromium) versions. And it was unmatched to any browser feature even to date. Can you please return this feature to Opera One (latest browser)?

@james-joesph I really like Opera tbh. Arc was only a curiosity which ended as soon as I received an invite and got familiar with its UI. The team really made an effort to put arc together and it might get interesting with time.. maybe in the future...
So here I am.. back to using Opera!

@maxita
My "workaround" while using Opera is saving the open tabs under pinboards. As you can create folders within the pinboards and associate them to workspaces. Whenever I lose my tabs (especially when I group them as Islands, I have stopped using Islands and ever since my open tabs haven't disappeared), I go to pinboards reopen those tabs, and I have to say its kind-a-like the session feature.You have to save each open tab only once. And in case of a crash or Opera goes blank/forgets your open tabs. The pinboards would have your manually saved open tabs.

@emadpc I have been using it for over a few weeks now, and beginning to think that they might have fixed this issue. The islands that I saved have remained as is every time I open Opera and while switching workspaces. Try and give it another shot! And make sure you are updating Opera from the About menu.

@thatmike1 did you try "arc browser"? people all over the internet are looking for an invite to be able to sign up and use it!!
I might move from Opera to arc, considering the features it has to offer..

@thatmike1 Vivaldi is an older version of their chromium test project.
I had also been using it some time ago but then wanted to switch to this version of Opera mainly because of the newer features and UI.With Opera team's new line of products/testing projects every now and then. No idea what they are up to?
Hopefully they will stick to this version of Opera and spend time and effort on improving this one. Especially fixing the "islands" feature! -

@thatmike1 I had raised a complaint on this issue as well. But the Opera team closed it. The support team used to be very helpful.

RE: Opera One Save sessions (for open tabs and workspaces)Suggestions and feature requests
- Copy the contents of "Sessions" folder (while Opera has your open tabs/workspaces)
(For WIndows 11)
C:\Users[YOUR WINDOWS
USER]\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Sessions- Paste/Backup the contents into another new folder/USB drive of your choice
At any point, should you lose the open tabs in Opera.
-
Delete all the contents of the "Session" folder
-
Paste the "Backup" version of contents from step 2.
-
Open Opera and you should have your tabs/islands/workspaces
back again! -
Backup your "Session" folder every time you have new tabs, islands or workspaces.
Or whenever you feel the need to backup your Opera open tabs. -
Request Opera to have this feature built into the browser for saving sessions!

@thelittlebrowserthatcould
you can share Pinboards, there is an option to share them in Opera One.
I also backup my Opera "Session" folder to recover the open tabs/workspaces when Opera "forgets" open tabs at any point due to a crash or for any reason. -

RE: Opera One Save sessions (for open tabs and workspaces)Suggestions and feature requests
@maxita said in Opera One Save sessions (for open tabs and workspaces):
@yaakhan I'm looking for the same function, did you solve it by any chance?
No I haven't. I had raised it to Opera support team via the "Suggestion" section and a team member marked my request as "Invalid".
Which is very sad for an Opera user like myself.
