RE: Delete built in search engineOpera Mini
Even Google Chrome do not complained if I changed the default search engine to Startpage.com, and remember the setting i.e. didn't reverted back to Google, albeit I cant delete it. Same as Firefox. And all of them also a Free browser-- I cannot found any paid browser these days. If Opera force us to use Google search, at least put the SSL one i.e. https://encrypted.google.com.

Delete built in search engineOpera Mini
Please allow us to remove/edit Opera Mini built in search engine (Google, Fast&Cheap, Localized Wikipedia). Locking Wikipedia in localized country i.e. Id.wikipedia instead of en.wikipedia is a bad idea. And I prefer searching with Startpage.com (which must be synced thru Opera Link) and just occasionaly encrypted.google.com -- Fast&Cheap is a garbage to me. I will keep &opminienc=utf-8 string if that is your concern. Thx.

For Java.lang.nullpointer.exception case, try remove-and-reinsert the battery, freeing Application memory Space in your device, and closing any intensive background application.. if still not working: reloading aka re-install your BlackBerry OS.

RE: Opera 8.0 not working on my Blackberry 8900Other phones
Hi Paul, my BlackBerry is 8520 OS 5, and Opera version 8 work flawlessly.. With One annoyance: now they also lock 2 more search engine: Fast&Cheap and Localized Wikipedia Indonesian (which I prefer in English!) -- besides that I don't have any problem with Opera Mini 8 in BlackBerry OS5
