RE: Opera 2x version - would like to like it, but... :/Opera for Windows
I'm in the same position, but it did let me bbring across passwords from O12 (I installed 29 last night). If you go to login pages it usually has the passwords filled in and you just pressed login - there is no 'key' icon and ctrl-enter doesn't work
The speed dial and search settings are what's causing me problems at the moment! -
'Manage search engines' in Opera 29Opera for Windows
I'm not sure if I'm missing something really obvious here. Opera's built in search engines with 'keywords' (e.g. use 'g' for google) doesn't seem to have a way for me to delete the ones I don't want. Or, more specifically, 'y' is assigned to yahoo search and I prefer 'y' to search youtube. The 'manage search engines' option allows me to create a new one but I can't assign the letter 'y' as it's already in use, for yahoo, and I can't delete the yahoo from the list. Help!

Thanks for that. I don't see it as an advantage but everyone is different

thanks for your help with that - I'm getting used to 29 now but the not being able to get a context menu on double click is really infuriating

Also - speed dial isn't very pretty - is there a way to get it more similar to the older versions where I saw previews of the sites? And got everything on the one page without having to scroll down??

Updated from Opera 12 to Opera 29 - few questionsOpera for Windows
So I finally took the plunge and updated from presto as Opera 12 has become almost unusable. The last time I updated (I think it was Opera 16 at the time) it was horrid and I went back to presto almost immediately. I'm glad to see the newer one has most of the 'presto' features retained - I just have a few questions:
Why doesn't 29 'replace' 12, i.e. I have both 12 and 29 installed now? O29 is installed in program files (x86) - is it a 32 bit or 64 bit (I had the 64 bit O12) and how do I get the 64bit version if not?
How do I use password manager? There is no key button and ctrl-enter doesn't seem to work??
How do I get the context menu on double click? Progress bar inside address bar?Any help gratefully appreciated!
