@trajic ...quick reply (and thanks), but it seems that I am the,,,"trajic" one: I had installed (some weeks ago) an app that erases history/does not allow any new entries on one click and forgot about it. Seems that I accidentally clicked on it's "button" and did not notice (I didn't even remember I had something like that there). Fortunately I saw some post while googling for a solution to my issue, that proposed disabling all extensions, and when I went to the extensions page I saw it there being enabled and obviously preventing Opera from recording history entries....
Feeling like an a$$ I immediately came back here to delete my post, and saw your quick answer, so in second thought, I'll leave it there in case some other a$$ suffers from something similar and my experience will at least help him....

It started suddenly while browsing (I don't think it was after some update) it started with the "go back (to the previous page)" arrow not working anymore (as if there haven't been any previous pages - it's not in bold). Searched all settings, found nothing relevent, cleared history, cookies, etc, rebooted,, with no result. When I click on history, everything is blank there now, even though I opened several pages from speed dial....
I even tried to update to the most latest versionl....(it did update, yet to no avail)

@bob-tusmore ...new update for Opera and suddenly SF's (the Chrome version) dropdown list disappeared (when right-clicking some searchbox, trying to auto-fill with pre-saved info in Simple Fill, there no longer exists an "arrow" pointing to the pre-saved info I talked about). The (I repeat: Chrome's) extension hasn't been crashing (like Opera's version keeps doing when installed) - it simply "doesn't work" (does not do what it's supposed to be doing, for that matter). Thank heavens, it simply lost "all the data input in the extension's database", but going to the extension's options (through Opera's "extensions" list) and importing a (thoughtfully pre-saved) .json file with all my latest updates of data in it, made Simple Fill (Chrome version) functional again.
I do not know home much sense I made with the above (I probably jumbled various tech terms), because I'm under heavy medication for sciatica pain right now, but I hope everyone that gets here due to a dysfunctional SF extension,,,gets the idea and manages to make it work again.

@ramgr8 And if I wasn't clear enough (had my reasons though), then "yes, I installed the chrome extension version" and (up to now), works fine (kinda makes sense too 'cause Opera is based on Chrome engline as far as I know (which doesn't neccessarily mean that an app can work "cross platform", but at least in this case, it does).

@ramgr8 What exactly made you think that I do not respect the work you put into this free app of yours, by making sacrifices of your free time?
My previous sarcasm had to do with you not responding to those few posts from some (me included), for such a long period of time. You solely responded today, when you saw that someone (namely me) "found some kind of solution" to our problem. Your last response here was 8 months ago. And even though I myself understand the need to work for a living, I couldn't excuse the abscence of at least one comment saying "guys, can't devote time for SF on Opera, sorry, so please stop asking. If I manage, you'll see me posting about it here". At least I (cant' talk for others than me), can respect that. Not saying anything at all, kinda hurt my feelings.
Other than that, I'll thank you for SF 'casue it has been a helping app for me. An I do hope and wish that your professional life is and will be rewarding enough, 'cause "everybody" goes through harsh times nowadays, no matter where in the world he/she is and what he/she does....'Cause if there's one thing that I'm not, is disrespectful and unfair (well that's two things, but what the heck).

@bob-tusmore Ι hoped so. I intended to directly reply to you also, but it only let me reply once (to that other guy at the end of the post list) because "I'm a fresh user" etc and I'd have to wait some minutes before replying again and (what a classic) I totally forgot abou it. Luckily you were notified as well.
One last thing: I imported an older ".json" file instead of adding data to the "options" page from scratch, and at first Simple Fill wasn't working. All it took though was simply adding a new line of data (just jibberish) and after that Simpel Fill "came alive" and works fine. I'm just letting everybody know the workaround if they face the same issue as I did.

@disperdios works with many others. It just doesn't with Opera anymore. "Shame" is an understatement....

@ramgr8 Any chance you're gonna fix it? It doesn't work for Opera anymore and it's already been a month now...

Ι even tried to install the previous version (actually the one released by end of November/1st of December when I did not have issues with Simple Fill) but the app keeps crashing.

@ramgr I'm not sure when the update was released, neither when I exactly faced the problem, but yes it was around that date. Not even sure when the update took place (it's in auto-mode anyway) and finally, maybe I did not even use SF right after the update so that I can be exact about it all, or it took a couple of days before I did. However: I'm almost sure that there HAS been a browser update those days (and it was automatically implemented in my system) and the problem, like the previous user said, started by that time (SF crashes even if I re-install it). My version of Opera is 94.0.4606.38.

@ramgr8 I confirm it. Pls do something.
