I have the same problem!

Not only youtube in WhatsApp Web tab with video the tab is broken. This problem started after last update.

Opera version: 86.0.4363.23
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/100.0.4896.127 Safari/537.36 OPR/86.0.4363.23

Operation System: Ubuntu 21.04 (x86_64; ubuntu:GNOME)

Whats steps i need to downgrade version?

Clone this repo

Go to the repo root folder

cd ./fix-opera-linux-ffmpeg-widevine

(Optional) Run script. And if it works well go to next step.

sudo ./scripts/fix-opera.sh

Run install script and answer few questions.

sudo ./install.sh

Delete the repo

cd .. && rm -rf ./fix-opera-linux-ffmpeg-widevine

I´d like this function in my opera browser.
Developer team have a plan for this ?

Ok I willl describe my steps:

• sudo dpkg --purge opera-stable
• sudo rm -rf /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/opera

Find all Opera files

• find /home/valdinei/ -iname opera

Delete all files in my home

• rm -rf /home/valdinei/.config/opera
• rm -rf /home/valdinei/.cache/opera

After this I reinstalled a new opera version

• sudo dpkg -i opera-stable_86.0.4363.23_amd64.deb

My last version is not broken page, but all whatsApp videos display a message "error" do not play.

Youtube works fine,
Instagram show me a video but when a I click play not work.

Any idea to fix WhatsApp Videos and Instagram ?

I followed all steps again in latest opera version and worked nice.

For me problem solved.

The Opera browser is open without WebGL enabled. I received logs above when I start opera in command line.

I installed this script before, and it runs every time Opera is updated. Why is this problem not solved when it runs? When I reinstalled it, the issue was solved.

Anyone has a solution for this problem?

@myswtest I clean all the directories and reinstalled the last opera version and the issue not resolved. I tried install a older version in major release 99.xxx and have the same problem.

I updated my opera browser today to this version.

When I openned this pages show me this message, Page crashed!

I removed Opera app and directories

sudo aptitude purge opera-stable
rm -rf  ~/.config/opera
rm -rf  ~/.cache/opera

And reinstalled and has a same problem.

Has anyone had a problem with last Opera update +Ubuntu 20.04?

Removi o opera e todos os diretórios dele

sudo aptitude purge opera-stable
rm -rf  ~/.config/opera
rm -rf  ~/.cache/opera

Baixei novamente a ultima versão do site opera e até a página principal da opera esta dando problema.

Não faço ideia do que fazer para corrigir isso .
