I'm very sorry to see Opera step away from NPAPI completely. For me it is the loss of support for Unity Player, another NPAPI plug-in. It is too bad there is not some sort of optional support you could maintain. I just want to be able to play some Unity based games via my web browser.

Can I keep an older version of Opera on my system just for that? I left Chrome due to their lack of support for NPAPI and their becoming bloat ware. I guess I can go back to them for my primary browser and keep an older Opera for games? Sad that we can't optionally keep some of the older tech that many of us enjoy.
