Whenever I've tried to open Opera lately, things get severely messed up. First Opera freezes, then other open apps on my Mac freeze one by one until my whole computer can't do anything. I'm forced to shut it down with the power button.

Mac version: 10.12 Sierra
Opera version: 89.0
I can't do any of the "required steps" before Opera freezes up
