I have the same version of Opera as you.
I also have "Hide search box" turned on in the Start Page setting on my PC... always returns to Google at restart, I'm baffled as to why.

The results, after changing from Google are DDG but I have to reset the default search engine from Google each time I start Opera (my preferred browser)
It's, on the scale of things, minor (a good example of first world problem) but infuriating.

Why does Opera (Version:88.0.4412.53) keep defaulting to Google search engine when I start Opera?
I've tried to find a way to stop this happening - my preferred search engine is DDG.

Click on Ease of Access.
Click on Display.
Under the "Make text bigger" section, use the slider to select the new font size that makes text easy to read."

Due to visual impairment, I need to know if there's a way to make the browser tab sizes larger?
