That screen capture that you submitted to the support, could you please provide a link here as well? I neither am seeing such a problem.
Might you be referring to the dark left side box with the white icons? The sidebar? If so, then you can just click the bottom most icon to unpin it. Though, I have a feeling that may not be it since it doesn't actually say "Speed Dial" on it.
