Apologies for my late reply.
Google.co.uk is supposed to set the user interface to British English (rather than the shocking American English on Google.com). As a Briton, being able to preserve the ORIGINAL English language is critical. The English language was invented in England - not America, and the British English variant is the de facto version of English used by 8 out of 10 English speaking countries (as either native, or secondary language) - including Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the largest English populous country in the world - India).
As for location services, whilst it is true that Google does identify location by IP address, that fails when either proxy or VPN is used. And even when Google does correctly identify the United Kingdom location, if Google.com is used, it still defaults to American English. And that really p!sses off British people!
Kindest regards, and thanks for a fantastic product. Opera browsers are the oxygen that fills my lungs!
