Hi Pete8475, You are correct, I've installed it and now I can view pdf files on-line with Adobe Reader - and it displays the page quickly unlike Chrome Reader which spends an interminable amount of time loading. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

To anyone reading this and wanting to install Adobe Reader; BE CAREFUL: It'll try and install Google Chrome and make it your default browser so make sure you untick that option.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions. What threw me was when I checked for updates on Adobe 10 - it said there were none available. (???).

Hi sgunhouse, Really? But when I cjick on "Check for updates" it says there are no updates available, I guess I need to get in touch with Adobe about this.

You can also use the pdf plugin that comes with Opera.

Hi leocg, I am using the Adobe pdf plugin. Why I try to open an on-line pdf file I get this error message: "Adobe Reader is out of date". Clearly this is the wrong error message.

So I'll have to contact Adobe (if I can) and see if they will issue an update to make Adobe compatible with Opera.

While I'm waiting fo that to happen I'll have to go back to Internet Explorer.

BTW: I'm using Windows 7. God help me if I'd "upgraded" to Windows 10.

It's version 9.5.5.316 - THE LATEST and there are no new updates available.

I can't use Chrome - All I get is a spinning wheel in the middle of the screen. In any case I prefer not to use software made by Google after my experiences with Picarso Graphics program.

I had the same problem when trying to play Amazon Prime video, ie: the error message about the "Widevine Content Decryption Module needs to be enabled" when it is in fact enabled. What is odd is I could play videos a couple of months ago.

I contacted Amazon Prime - this was a complete waste of time.

I was about to cancel my Amazon Prime subscription when I decided to reinstall Adobe Flashplayer (I unistalled it, downloaded it again then reinstalled it) I gave it a quick test by playing the trailer for "The Great Gatsby" it plays fine (it didn't before). The "new" Adobe Flashplayer version I downloaded seems to be exactly the same version as before.

The error message about ensuring the "Widevine Content Decryption Module is enabled" is incorrect; it should be reporting a problem with Adobe Flashplayer.

BTW: I have Opera Turbo enabled

I hope the others who had the problem with Amazon Video managed to sort it out.

My OS is Windows 7 and my Opera version is 34.0.2036.47. I was getting an error message about the Widevine Content Decryption Module and to go to opera://plugins and to make sure it was enabled - it was, so I tried clearing the browsing data and a few more things. I don't know what went wrong because it was working fine a couple of months ago.

Eventually I contacted Amazon Prime which was a complete waste of time. I didn't catch the man's name but he didn't seem to be able to grasp what my problem was even though I told him about the error message about the Widevine Content Decryption Module and that I was getting error 7235 so he kept me on hold for 5 minutes and then told me it was a problem with the Widevine Content Decryption Module, I pointed out that I'd already mentioned that. His "solution" was for me to use Google Chrome browser - I will not use any software by Google after my experiences with their Graphics Program; Picarso (I'll spare you all the details).

I was prepared to cancel my Amazon Prime subscription, mainly because they no longer support my Smart TV Box (It's a Samsung BD-D8500M - am I now supposed to throw it in the dustbin?). If I can't play the videos that I'm paying money for every month there's no point in continuing with it.

After some procrastination; I decided to uninstall Adobe Flash player then download it again and reinstall it. I rebooted, went back to Amazon Prime and did a quick check by watching the trailer to "The Great Gatsby" - and it played fine (it didn't previously).

I also had a problem with a video on Facebook; the video was there and the sound played through my PC speakers but not through the HDMI lead and on the TV's speakers but that now seems to have sorted itself out with reinstalling Adobe Flashplayer.

I still have a problem with getting the BBC's Radio Player to work - it worked in the past but not now (I hoped that reinstalling Adobe would have fixed it).
