A new company now owns Opera. A large Chinese consortium made up of several companies including Qihoo 360. The Qihoo 360 people are notorious for having their software eat up with large aggressive invasive ads. I will be very surprised if Opera does not soon go down this path. And they have an absolute deaf ear when it comes to listening to users or implementing any suggestion that they make. Any negative reviews of their applications quickly disappear and more than one person has suspected that many of their 5 Star reviews are planted there by the company itself. The CEO of the old company that ran Opera is staying on but I'm sure he will do what his bosses tell him to do so Opera may have seen the best of times and the worst may lie ahead. It's a shame because in the not too recent past it was really something. It would be nice to know what others think of this recent buyout and also it would be great if someone from the company would make a statement as to be considered direction for the future development of the software.

RE: Opera 41.2 - Easy access to data saving?Opera for Android
I agree it was so much easier to use this feature when all the functions for settings was located under one menu not split up into two places. For me everything was much more convenient when everything was located in the top right-hand corner so that when you tapped you could instantly turn the data savings on or off with a simple tap. Now that function is located in the bottom menu bar under the settings menu buried quite deep. For me simpler is always better and instead of having the menu split up into two sections it was much better for me when it was located all in one place just my 2 cents I think probably a number of people feel this way just something for you guys to consider. I think the user interface for me was much more functional 2 incarnations back before you changed the way the menu was done thanks a lot

RE: Opera beta AUTO SCROLLING ISSUEOpera for Android
This bug has been around for several incarnations in Opera beta although I find it occurring less frequently in the last two incarnations. When it occurs for me it's easy to stop by going to settings/apps/Opera Beta and closing the program. Then when you restart Opera beta it opens to the same page and it behaves normally not sure what's going on under the hood but it is apparently an opera problem as I said it's happening very infrequently now so perhaps they have it just about worked out.
